Wonderful Surprise!

My daughter and I were going to have to wait an hour at a nearby restaurant so we began to walk back to our hotel hungry and my daughter insisted that we try Trapizzino. After our trip, my daughter said that sandwich was the best food that she had in New York (and we ate at the hot spots). Highly recommended. Delicious and reasonably priced.

Perfect for lunch or snack

Triangular bread pockets hold the tastiest home-style Italian fillings. The bread has a nice crust and is served hot. Fillings are hot or cold and include beef, chicken, veg or my favorite, veal tongue. Seasoning is spot-on. Perfect size for lunch or snack. Good assortment of beer, wine, soda and water. My husband and I loved it. We didn’t order the risotto balls but the people sitting near us seemed to enjoy them.

Delizioso!

Stumbled onto Trapizzino quite by accident last weekend, and what a pleasant surprise – an authentic taste of Rome on the Lower East Side. My friend & I left an event that was more of a happy hour (sans food) @ around 8pm, and were seeking a cafe to grab a quick bite afterward. Trapizzino hit the spot – it’s essentially pizza fillings served in a square-shaped sandwich…portion-perfect and a superb choice of both vegetarian and meat-centric choices. Reasonably priced as well, with a polite, helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely go back if in the immediate area.
